I like to tell people I have a tiny boss. The hours start far before the typical 9am. Sometimes the work goes into the night. I get to sleep maybe a few hours, but when my boss calls, I answer. Oh, and she’s also a toddler.
The world has different views on motherhood. Some will tell us that a mom is the easiest job. Or that it isn't even a job. To some, it seems worthless. Others think, “how do you do it?” And despite the world’s opinions, I know that what I’m doing – and what all of you other moms are doing is one of the most important jobs in the world.
Through every wine and cry to the never-ending laundry and nights where I get way touched out, I thank God with every tired breath that this is my life.
Motherhood is amazing. It’s Godly. It’s ministry.
And our mindset about this role impacts everything. God tells us in Proverbs 4:23, Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
This is why I created this blog – to help mothers protect their hearts. Because out of it will flow everything: how we care for our families and how our children see us and grow. It’s so important to seek God first and keep our thoughts and beliefs stayed on Him. My goal is to point you toward Jesus so you can fulfill your God-given role with strength and grace.
Your work is of the utmost importance and God sees you.
